How to share an wallpaper with a remote computer?
Let's say you have an important document (it may be a schedule) and you want to distribute it to all your employees. MOST IMPORTANT you want to update the document hourly and make sure that your employees see the changes immediately.
Therefore, sending the document via email is not a solution - they may forget to check the email every few minutes and even if they check the email they may close it later and totally forget about it. But what if you would directly send the document to your employees desktop?
With BioniX Background Switcher you can directly send the document to your employees desktop.
Method 1
- Save the document you want to share as image (JPG, PNG ...) in a folder. Share the folder via Google Drive/SkyDrive/Dropbox (for example: "C:\Google Drive\Important\Today's Schedule.jpg").
- Allow the sharing program to sync the file.
- Download and install BioniX Background Switcher Lite which is free, on your employee computers.
- Clear the playlist to get rid of the demo images provided with the program.
- Locate the image ("Today's Schedule.jpg"). Drag and drop it in BioniX Background Switcher's playlist.
- Set BioniX Background Switcher to change the wallpaper every 10 minutes (or often if you know that you update your file often).
Advanced topics:
- If you don't know under which name you are going to save the file use the Lock on folder feature. In this case the folder to lock on is "C:\Google Drive\Important\"

Method 2
If you don't use Google Drive, SkyDrive or Dropbox, BioniX Background Switcher comes handy again with its Dynamic Wallpaper feature.
- Save the document you want to share as image (JPG, PNG ...)
- Upload the image on your web site via FTP. If you don't have a personal web site use a free image sharing service such as tinypic.com
- Download and install BioniX Background Switcher Lite which is free, on your employee computers.
- In BioniX 'Dynamic web image' tab enter the URL of your image. IMPORTANT: You must enter the image's URL and not the URL of the web page that holds the image.
- Set BioniX Background Switcher to change the wallpaper every 10 minutes (or often if you know that you update your file often).
Hints:
- Make sure that the "Start BioniX on computer start-up" check box is checked.
- If you don't want to disturb the user too much make sure the "Start minimized" check box is checked.
- If you want to change the image just once per day (in the morning when your employees start the computers), make sure that the "Change wallpaper once, then shutdown itself" is checked.
- You can find all these functions in the Settings - Start up tab.
